Press Release: THEATRE ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURE CONFERENCE 2014
12th Dec 2013
Stage
Technologies takes Platinum at ITEAC 2014
The organisers of the International Theatre
Engineering and Architecture Conference (ITEAC) are delighted to
announce that Stage Technologies is
the major Sponsor of the 2014 conference.
Stage Technologies'
continued support of the event by taking the principal Platinum sponsorship
role for the third consecutive conference, illustrates the tremendous
reputation that ITEAC has established over the last twelve years.
The launch of ITEAC
2014 recognises the demand for this major event, which seeks to investigate the
developments that have already been made, and the innovations that will be
required, in the ever-changing world of live entertainment.
The quadrennial
three-day event, which will take place from Sunday
8 June 2014 to Tuesday 10 June 2014, brings together the world's leading
theatre technicians, architects, engineers, consultants, acousticians and
production managers, plus theatre makers and venue managers.
Traditionally, 50% of
the ITEAC attendees have been from outside the UK: the USA, Germany, Singapore,
Hong Kong, and Denmark are just a few of the markets that are continually
represented at the Conference.
ITEAC
2014: The Future of Performance Spaces - The People, The Places, The
Technologies will be based in the
University of London's Senate House, and will examine the rapid changes taking
place globally within all performances spaces driven by audience expectations,
the availability of new technologies and the demands now being made by
innovative and more flexible programming.
Presented by the Association of British Theatre Technicians (ABTT), ITEAC 2014 will be the fourth edition of the Conference. Conceived by
Conference Director Richard Brett in 2002, the event has grown from strength to
strength, with Stage Technologies' involvement being recognised as having been
integral to its success.
On behalf of the
company Mark Ager, Group CEO, said,
"Stage Technologies recognises the important role that the Theatre Engineering
and Architecture Conference plays in communicating with and educating the
technical, entertainment industry".
"ITEAC has
established itself as the foremost international conference for our industry,
providing a lively forum for discussion and debate on the future landscape. Our
commitment recognises the unique opportunity the Conference offers for
developing the understanding and application of technology, in its widest form,
in the entertainment environment".
"We believe that by
supporting and working closely with the conference organisers, we have the
opportunity to engage with people from a wide spectrum of roles from within a
broad constituency in the field. It is possible to meet face-to-face with
the entire community including planners, designers, technicians and
consultants. Technology is progressing at a remarkable pace and it is imperative
that we engage with all engineering disciplines and with entertainment venues
regardless of their size".
ABTT
Chief Executive, Robin Townley, commented, "The commitment to supporting ITEAC 2014 that Stage
Technologies have so generously made, is fantastic news".
"That Stage Technologies continues its support of the event, for the third time
as principal sponsor, underlines their own commitment to the industry in which
they operate and the value they place in and feel they gain from the ITEAC
conferences".
"Having established
itself as a "must attend" event for so many areas and participants in the
creation, execution, design and management of theatrical presentation, ITEAC
2014 has been much anticipated by those engaged in the planning, design, construction,
equipping, operation and management of performance spaces of every type: from
the stadium and arena, the opera house and receiving theatre, to the school and
community venue. ITEAC 2014 will offer a unique opportunity for the specialists
that make up our industry to participate in the most exciting and stimulating
investigation of our very particular mix of art and science, craft and
technology, illusion and engineering."
